Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1 / Hotel Bougainvillea

After being picked up by your personal driver at the airport you will be taken directly to your hotel and given a private travel tutorial by one of our travel specialists. At the hotel you will also receive your welcome package which will include maps and itineraries and then you will have the evening in San Jose to yourself. Ask your driver and/or travel specialists for some suggestions based on your preferences/interests.

DAY 2 / Lomas del Volcan

We will have your driver pick you up early in the morning and take you on a drive through the central valley and the beautiful province of Alajuela to your first destination: La Fortuna. Here you will see your first wonder, the Arenal volcano. You will embark on a volcano tour during the day and relax in the amazing volcanic hot springs at night.

DAY 3 / Lomas del Volcan

In the morning we will take you to Rio Celestre, which is the second wonder of Costa Rica on your adventure. This is a full day activity that will include lots of hiking and swimming. Make sure to bring a waterproof camera to take advantage of the amazing sights and sounds.

DAY 4 / El Establo

Today will be the third consecutive day that you see one of the 7 wonders of Costa Rica. Your journey will include a wonderful boat ride transfer on the way to Monteverde, home of the world renowned cloud forest.

DAY 5 / Costa Verde

Get ready to experience the amazing canopy adventure in Monteverde in the morning. In the afternoon we will be taking you to Manual Antonio National Park on the Pacific coast.

DAY 6 / Costa Verde

You will be taken to the beautiful Tortuga Island off the Pacific Coast. Included in your full day of activities is a guided hike and snorkeling.

DAY 7 / Bougainvillea

Today is the perfect time for a rest day halfway through your trip. Your itinerary is open all day so you can relax on the gorgeous Manual Antonio National Park beach. Your driver will pick you up later on in the afternoon at your hotel and take you back to the central valley.

DAY 8 / Bougainvillea

Your next wonder is Poas volcano, located just an hour away from your hotel. But before you arrive we will be taking you on a coffee tour at a plantation nearby. After your experience looking down into the crater of an active volcano we will take you to La Paz waterfalls, a site that includes a butterfly garden, hummingbird center, 5 magnificient waterfalls and much more.

DAY 9 / Chirripo

Two full days of hiking are what await you today and tomorrow. You will be hiking up the highest peak in all of Costa Rica, Chirripo, which is considered one of the 7 wonders of Costa Rica. You can expect a truly amazing experience as your hike will include camping out for one night on the summit of the mountain.

DAY 10

You will spend much of your day on Chirropo, but will eventually be taken back to the central valley to get ready for the next days adventure.

DAYS 11 and 12 / Laguna Lodge

The last wonder on your list may just be the best. The next two days are reserved for the Tortuguero National Reserve on the Atlantic coast. You will be staying at a lush all-inclusive hotel and will embark on numerous expeditions and tours both by boat as well as walking guided tours.

DAY 13 / Bougainvillea

You will be brought back to the central valley after lunch in Tortuguero. Your last night is open for you to relax from your travels.

DAY 14 / Airport

Your personal driver will pick you up at your hotel 3 hours prior to your flight departure.
